Mon-Thur, June 10-27

Grade I- 12:00pm-1:30pm, $325

Grade IV- 1:30pm-3:30pm, $400

Grade II- 3:30pm-5:00pm, $325

Grade III- 5:00pm-7:00pm, $390

Grade V- 7:00pm-9:00pm, $445

Grade VI- TBD

-SCHEDULE is tentative, depending on enrollment-

-FOR AGES 9 & OLDER-

-DANCERS, no matter age, start at Grade 1 (unless prior exams have been taken, in which case, dancer signs up for the next level)-

-Dancers can participate in the intensive & opt out of exam (examination fee will be deducted from cost)-

-Drop in rates will be $25 for Grades I & II, $30 for Grades III, $35 for Grades IV, V & VI-

-COST includes tuition, book, & examination fee-

-Dancers must wear pink ballet tights & a black leotard to class-

What is cecchetti?

The Cecchetti method provides a completely balanced and analyzed system of theory and execution.

Cecchetti training is a rigorous method which pays careful attention to the laws of anatomy. it develops all the qualities essential to the dancer- balance, poise, strength, elevation, elasticity, “ballon”, etc. it is classic in its purity and clear-cut style.

“why take ballet exams?”

Ballet exams are valuable for serious ballet students because they promote the development of strong technique, artistry, and quality of movement.

The examining process gives each student a goal to work towards and allows them to achieve it. it requires discipline to study theory and work hard in class to reach the technical requirements for each grade level. achieving goals heightens self-esteem by allowing the dancer to graduate to the next level upon successful completion of the previous grade. the benefits of using a method that builds from one level to the next is imporatant in developing a well-trained dancer.
